As a chronic illness warrior, self-care is not optional. It's a necessary part of my journey to maintain my health and well-being. I've found that creativity is a great way to fill my cup and relieve some of the stress and anxiety that comes with living with chronic illness. Whether it's listening to music, painting, or writing, I make sure to make time for creativity every week. It's a non-negotiable part of my self-care routine.

Research shows that music therapy has been shown to decrease anxiety and it also helped calm the neural activities in the brain and reduce anxiety.

[00:15:32] - Creativity is a part of who we are, and it's important to fill our cups as a whole person. Some of her clients have lost their sense of creativity because their business has consumed them. She encourages them to find something that's truly theirs and that fills their cup. For her, expressive writing helps her to find her voice and who she is.
